Commitment to Oklahoma Students and Teachers

Dr. Cox’s campaign pillars center on four conservative, values-driven priorities:

Safe & Secure Schools

Every child deserves a safe learning environment – free from intruders, harmful influences, and inappropriate content. Dr. Cox will make safety the foundation of education so parents can send their children to school with confidence.

Academic Achievement

Oklahoma kids aren’t 50th, and neither are our teachers. By strengthening phonics, math foundations, and growth-based testing, and ensuring parent-driven IEPs for special needs students, Dr. Cox will move our schools into the Top 25 and give every child the future they deserve.

Restoring Trust in Public Education

Parents should be partners, not outsiders. Dr. Cox will restore transparency, stability, and accountability to public education, rebuilding confidence in Oklahoma’s schools.

Support for Teachers

Teachers are professionals, not test administrators. Dr. Cox will cut bureaucracy, invest in training, empower educators to teach again, and restore respect to the profession.

I’ve coached athletes. I’ve sat across from families in moments of joy and moments of heartbreak. For the last 32 years, I’ve served as…

Comanche County Republican Party and the Grady County GOP will co-host a forum for Republican candidates seeking the office of Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction on Feb. 16, at the Elgin Public Schools Performing Arts Center, 520 K St., at 6 p.m.

The forum will be moderated by Dr. Elizabeth Pleasant and Jennifer Sanders of Lawton Public Schools.

“This is probably one of the most consequential State Superintendent races in recent Oklahoma history,” Pleasant said. “Following the resignation of former Superintendent Ryan Walters and his high-profiled tenure, Southwest Oklahoma voters have a critical opportunity to hear directly from candidates about the future direction of public education in our state.”

The forum is open to the public and is intended to give voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about their priorities for Oklahoma’s public education system. You may submit questions in advance by emailing education@ comanchegop.org.
